Take Two Tuesday Week 8

Woke up a bit late  today and had to run out the door right away so this is a bit later than normal but  it is still Tuesday so I guess I am good!

I am using the fun Garden Girl set on my new card as we just found out that it will be retiring and I have barely used it yet--so today was a good day to do just that!

Here is both the old and the new card.....

She is so cute and fun to color.  I actually did some paper piecing on her dress as I wanted it to match the paper I used for the layer below her.  Just like on the old card.  I can't for the life of me remember the name of that set.  Do you??

Here is just the new card...

It was fun to bring her to life with the Stampin Blends.  So therapeutic--and way cheaper than a doctor, lol.  I totally lose track of all time when I am crafting.  Love that.

So here is the weekly question...
DO YOU LIKE THE OLD OR NEW CARD BETTER???

Here are the supplies used on the new card

Make it and Mail it Mondays

Happy Monday!  Still lousy weather--but it is a new week none the less--even if it looks the same out the window. I am so in need of a few warm and SUNNY days.

I do plan to brighten up my friends day though with my make it and mail it card today.  Today's recipient just found out he was promoted so I made this simple but cute card to congratulate him.

I think it is a perfect  card for my beer drinking buddy!  I used the set that is soon to be retired called Mixed Drinks.  There are so many cute images and saying in this set.  So if you like it--you need to get it soon before it retires.  You can click the image below and use the monthly hostess code to order or you can just message me if that is easier.  This month's hostess code is JHVNUAWP

(all orders placed with the hostess code or via e-mail or personal message  this month  will receive a FREE copy of the NEW catalog and other freebies too--so be sure to use the code or send that order to me directly for the extra perks!)

I actually made three cards with the beer glass today--you will see the other two this week too.  I need to create a few with the other images too--but this mug makes the set a winner for the guys cards I need.  Of course it works for women too as many love beer.  (just not me, lol)

I used the Celebrate You dies for the Celebrate cut out.  This was a freebie during Sale-a-bration.  It may show up in the new catalog though--if you missed out.

Hope your week starts off amazingly!

Flashback Friday--Teddy and Friends

I am really enjoying using some of these oldies but goodies from Stampin Up!  This set is from 2003 and it has four adorable stamps with teddy bears.  I thought I would use the baby one today.  I have no one in mind for this card so I wanted it to be neutral so I can use it for a boy or a girl--hence the multi-colored bears.  Aren't they just too cute!?

I really need to sell some of these sets but it is just so much work to do it.  So I thought if nothing else at least I am using them for a card by designing for my Flashback Friday posts.  I still need to sell them though, lol.  No one needs over 600 stamp sets, lol.   NOT EVEN Me!!!!!

Here is a close up of the card so you can see how sweet they really are.  There are four stamps in the set...one with a birthday cake, balloons, presents etc for birthdays:  one with the bears in sailor outfits and boats, lighthouse, anchor etc. : one with winter hats, scarfs, snowflakes etc.:  and of course this one for babies.  It really is a darling set and so easy to play with.  The other fun thing about this series is that since the stamps are not current I don't feel like I have to stay with all current embellishments either--hence he darling little felt stars I found in my stash--they are perfect!

I hope you are enjoying this series as much as I am.  TGIF!!!!

I am off to do my norm--hang with my mom and then head over to work at Kohls later.  Fun, Fun Fun.  Hope you have a great day.

What inspires me Wednesdays--a look into what inspires me to get crafting.

Today's version of What inspires me Wednesday is inspired by the Last Chance list from Stampin Up.  There are a few sets that are on my wish list that I still do not have 😔   Now to make a choice if I still NEED them or if I can possibly live without them---ha ha--as if!

Here is the fist set.....
Magical Day--cute and trendy--adorable for both young and old.

Here are some of the amazing samples I found around the web--so many creative designers out there to inspire us!

This girl has a real talent for coloring.  Love that added red on the banner on the second one--I would have never thought of  that.  Perfect.  I just adore these both.  Here is the link to Katrina's original post  HERE

Here is one more by Katrina--I will be spending a lot of time on her blog later tonight--now that I found it--she has awesome designs!

Or what about Stasha's amazing designs with the mermaids in this set.  She was one of the designers for the samples used at Stampin Up's official training--On Stage.  I did not get to go this year but will be there next time for sure--one of the perks of being a demo!

Stasha is another amazing stamper with a great ability to use color.  I need more practice at this--so inspiring!  Here is the link to Stasha's original post HERE  I am in awe of her talent.

Well, I hate to say it but I am off to go purchase this set!  Thanks to these ladies for pushing me over the edge!  So cute!

See you soon

Take Two Tuesday Week 7

Yes, we are still doing the Take Two Tuesday post today--even with all the CRAZY and EXCITING news coming out of Stampin Up! yesterday.  So much going on--so much fun--a bit overwhelmed too.

Together we will take it one step at a time.  Be sure to check out the post before this one for the Retiring products and Color Revamp.

(all orders placed via e-mail or personal message  this month  will receive a FREE copy of the NEW catalog and other freebies too--so be sure to send that order to me directly for the extra perks!)

Now for today's Take Two....

I am conflicted again this week--I love both cards, lol!

The monochromatic with a splash of color is one of my favorites--and Black and White with a splash of red is my FAVORITE.   I used the fun Sitting Here stamp set to create a cute little design with a cat sitting on the swing.  Only the flowers are colored in red.  All the rest is left in black and white.

It really  is a cute set....

It is hard to see but the cat is so cute sitting on this swing--except his hind legs are not laying right, lol.  So much for perfect placement!  Looks like he is doing his leg lifts--ha ha.

I never claimed to be perfect--I wonder if the recipient will notice it??? What do you think???

Here is the inside of the card--again just a touch of RED.....

So here is the weekly question...
